Treebones is well positioned for exploring the Big Sur coast. Here on the South Coast, things tend to feel a little quieter. Distances between destinations are greater, traffic is lighter, and many trails and beaches see fewer visitors. It's one of the reasons so many guests choose Treebones as a base for exploring this less traveled stretch of coastline. Within a short drive, you'll find beaches, waterfalls, redwood groves, wildlife viewing areas, and hiking trails ranging from easy walks to more challenging day hikes. Whether you're looking for a quiet beach, a scenic overlook, or a trail through the redwoods, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore during your stay. Below are some of our favorite spots both north and south of Treebones.
