Treebones is located 5 hours drive from Los Angeles and 4 hours from San Francisco. We are in the southern end of the Big Sur Coast; approximately a 60 minute drive South (30 miles) from Big Sur Village.
The drive along Highway 1 is scenic but remote, with limited signage and no cell service as you get closer. We recommend reviewing directions ahead of time and saving them before your drive.

Arriving from the South
Take Highway 1 north from San Luis Obispo. Treebones is about 65 miles north, and approximately 25 miles north of San Simeon and Hearst Castle. After passing Ragged Point and the town of Gorda, turn right onto Willow Creek Road at the Treebones sign, then take an immediate right through the gate and follow the road uphill to the resort.
Arriving from the North
Take Highway 1 south from Monterey and continue about 65 miles. Turn left onto Willow Creek Road, then take an immediate right through the gate and follow the road uphill to the resort. If you pass Gorda or the Whale Watcher Cafe, you have gone about a mile too far and should turn around.
