This is not a yurt. It is a round canvas tent on a wood platform. It is called a Sibley tent.

This is the hybrid option between camping full out or sleeping in a yurt. You bring sleeping bags, cots and all your gear….we got the tent and the view. This is called the Sibley Tent Campsite. (The tent is named after Henry Sibley who invented this Civil War era tent -he fashioned it after the Indian teepee.)

As with other campsites, there is no late check-ins permitted – it is very dark after sundown. Please plan to arrive at least two hours before sunset to set up camp.

Absolutely no open cookfires or campfires due to fire hazard. Guests may bring a tabletop camp stove for cooking or dine at lodge restaurant.
